Vince’s Pizzeria and Taproom

527 Durham Road, Newtown, PA 18940

Dear VPT Customers,

The time has come for us to close our dining room. We will remain open for takeout.  We completely understand the Governor’s decision to restrict restaurants to takeout business only in an effort to aggressively enforce social distancing. These are scary times and we have to do what is best for the overall health of our community. Unfortunately, with this mandate comes serious consequences that directly impacts the lives of our employees.  Today, we were forced to make the difficult decision to remove hours from 25 of our 30 employees for the next two weeks.  These amazing individuals have worked very hard for us in building our business for the last year and this was not something we would have done if we did not deem it necessary to stay open.  This has hit a personal level for us and will have a significant impact on our business, those that we employ and our potential future.  We are still a new business and operate on very thin margins. Many restaurants have already permanently closed their doors in other parts of the country due to this virus. The thought that this could happen to us is nothing short of devastating. We need your help now more than ever. We ask that any customer that would normally eat in to please consider picking up pizzas and salads throughout the time our dining room is closed. The beer wall will remain open for growler fills if you have them.  We strongly urge you to place your orders online or pay over the phone to limit personal contact while picking up your order.

We are asking for our community to please support us and the other small businesses during this most difficult time.

Thank you for your continued support,
Ed and Heather Murray
